Katie and Interact at Athens Academy helped Satish, who is a 10th grader in the Earn N' Learn program at Manav Sadhna whose parents and sister all died within the past year and a half, by raising money for his educational expenses for a year. IDC at OSU hopes to raise the money for the next two years of his education during Autumn Quarter 09.
This summer, I am going back to Ahmedabad. I will be conducting research to evaluate the characteristics, successful and unsuccessful, effective and ineffective, of NGO development project models, public development project models, and public-NGO partnership development project models in terms of their efficiency in improving the quality of life of those living in the Ramapir No Tekro slum. I will definitely be visiting the Manav Sadhna family again, and working with them while conducting my research. I'm very excited to get started!
